The antioxidant water ionizers, shown below, are the one's we've tried over the years with good overall success. These ionizers range from $1195 to $2795. The good news is that all will produce alkaline ionized water pH 9+ or higher. Higher pH ranges depend on the unit's ability to provide two things.... 1. Slowed water flow, 2. Exposing the water to the maximum amount of electricity. Combined, this will have a stronger ionizing effect. My experience suggests that it's better to drink just a moderately high (pH 9) over the long run, verses drinking a super high pH10+ for the short run. Slow and steady wins the race!

To target a specific pH, the Athena, Melody/Isis and Venus water ionizers feature a flow control lever on the front of the unit. You can divert the water from the end of your kitchen tap at full pressure while the lever sets the flow rate so you can achieve the same desired pH, every time.

The Athena, priced $2195 there's an extra sediment filter, but for less money the Melody, selling for $1495, skips the sediment filter, pricing in at $1495, a $700 savings over the Athena.

If your looking for a lower priced unit, then the Venus is a good option. The Venus includes a flow control but is not recommend for under the sink installation similar to the Melody and Athena.

The Orion water ionizer, both sells for $1895, both with similar functions, are more automatic, sensing the source water and targeting low medium and high ranges, without concern for matching specific pH levels. For the best mix of features, price and long term track record, I'd find myself often recommending the JP104 Melody/Isis water ionizer. If in the future you'd like to install your water ionizer under the sink, then an under sink kit is available.
