Doctor Christopher Vesay, ND

Christopher Vasey is a naturopathic physician living in Chamby-Montreux, Switzerland.

He studied at École de naturopathie, a naturopathy school in Paris, recognized by the Rectorat de Paris, with Dr. P.V. Marchesseau, biologist, and founding father of Naturopathy in France, under the supervision of P.V. Marchesseau and Alain Rousseaux.

In 1979 he started his own practice. Alongside his therapeutic work, he continued his formation by studying the works of famous naturopaths such as Dr Paul Carton, Shelton, Robert Masson, R. Jackson, Kneipp, etc.

From 1981 he organized his own introductory courses to naturopathy for the public and started teaching in various health-oriented associations (natural medicine therapists, health shops,…).

From 1990 onwards, his many books on natural medicine books have been published by Editions Jouvence, Geneva, Switzerland. The following books are now available in English, published by Inner Traditions, Vermont, U.S.A.: “The Acid Alkaline Diet” (2003), “The Water Prescription” (2006), “The Mono Detox Cure” (2006), “The Whey Cure” (2006).

Some of Christopher Vasey's books are also available in German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.

Since 1994 he has also written books with a spiritual approach to health and nature. Available only in French (published by the Editions du Graal, Paris)

Christopher Vasey gives talks in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Quebec, Germany, Austria and in the U.S.A. He takes part in Book Fairs and natural medicine exhibitions, as well as participating in radio programs. He writes for several nature- and health-oriented magazines and spiritual publications, one of them in English: “GrailsWorld”.

Naturopathic Medicine in France

The profession of Naturopathic Health Practitioner is not yet recognized in France by a law, however, the naturopath exercises in a fiscal and social responsibility like any profession or employment as listed by the Environmental Protection Agency of France (EPA) under code INSEE 851H (Care outside a regulated framework) .

France remains one of the few European Union countries not to be legally incorporated non-conventional medicine, despite the EU directive Collins - Lannoye of 1997. (pdf)

The Naturopathic School of France is therefore involved with national and European bodies to support initiatives for the recognition of our profession, beyond currents and federations, in a spirit of assembly.

There is therefore no state diploma in France today, only the quality of education, duration of training, and compliance with ethical, help guide the choice of those who wish to engage in this business for the future.
