"Real" Natural Skin Care Ingredients

A list of common natural skin care ingredients that are used in soap making with a small description of the benefits of each.

Olive Oil

A great moisturizer, that also protects and nurtures your skin.

Coconut Oil

Fluffy lather, creates a hard bar of soap and also provide a long shelf life.

Palm Oil

When palm is added to the mix it works like the glue that binds everything together. This oil just plain makes a better bar of soap.

Palm Kernel Oil

Lather is the gift this oil gives to our bar of soap and just for good measure it also adds a wonderful moisturizing quality.

Soybean Oil

This oil is a wonderful conditioner. It gives your skin that pampered feeling.

Cottonseed Oil

It doesn't take much of this oil to give our soap a quick and long lasting lather.

Shea Butter

Made from the African karite tree, shea butter soothes and softens your skin.

Honey

Full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, honey is not only nourishing, it is also nurturing.

Oatmeal, Wheat germ and Cornmeal

Each of these three grains lend a texture to gently scrub your skin and leave it with a healthy glow. Each also adds its own unique character to the look of the bar of soap.

Goat Milk

Of course the main ingredient in many of our soaps is goat milk. A wonderful and abundant moisturizing ingredient.

Glycerine

This is not added to our handcrafted soap for it is created in the soap making process. Glycerine is another great moisturizer.

Natural Skin Care Preservatives

Grapefruit seed extract and vitamin E, both natural preservatives, to provide extended shelf life.
