Water Filter Cartridges - Heavy Metal Removal

The KDF 55/Granular Activated Carbon Filter has superior taste/odor, chlorine, scale, bacteria, algae and water-soluble metal removal, including 98% of lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium and other dissolved metals. The cartridge also contains carbon which is excellent art removing organics and chlorine-based compounds.

Typical Filter Replacement Cartridge Procedures

Turn off the incoming water supply and relieve the pressure
Replace the filter with the arrow pointing up and the gasket on top
Replace and lubricate the filter housing O-Ring
Using a filter wrench, tighten the housing securely
Rinse/Flush the cartridge thoroughly to remove fine particles
Inspect for leaks

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system

Calculated capacities and flow rates are for reference only. Various chemical and physical conditions can significantly alter the provided estimates herein. Filter cartridges should be changed every six to twelve months or when acceptable effluent ceases, whichever comes first.
