Heart Rate "Coherence" Lowering Blood Pressure

After 16 hours of instruction and practice in increasing HRV (heart rate variability) also called physiological coherence, 38 hypertensive patients reduced their blood pressure an average of 10mm/Hg systolic and 6mm/Hg diastolic. They sustained lowered blood pressure over 3 months time. They also reported increased emotional well-being, reduction in stress symptoms, reduction in depression symptoms, and increased workplace satisfaction.
